An Early Music Recital

D & M Music Studio is very pleased to present an early musicconcert sung by an internationally acclaimed Belgiancountertenor Patrick Van Goethem,studiedwith Paul Esswood, Julia Hamari and Andreas Scholl. He works as a soloist with most distinguished conductors in theearly music field such as Ton Koopman (The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra), FransBr?ggen (Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century), Masaaki Suzuki (Bach CollegiumJapan), Peter Neumann(Collegium Cartusianum), Gustav Leonhardt and Jos vanVeldhoven (TheNetherlands Bach Society), Hans-Christoph Rademann (Dresdner Hofmusik),Reinhard Goebel, Helmuth Rilling (Bach Collegium Stuttgart), Lars UlrikMortensen (Concerto Copenhagen), Frieder Bernius (Barockorchester Stuttgart),Eric Cross (New castle Baroque), etc

In 2005 he made hisAmerican debut with with The American Bach Soloists conducted by Jeffrey Thomas and with TheWashington Bach Consort conducted by Reilly Lewis. He is guest at all the important early music festivals throughout European countries such as theFestival of Flanders, Early Music Festival Utrecht, Festival de laChaise-Dieu,Festliche Tage Alter Musik Knechtsteden, H?ndelfestspiele Halle, BachfestLeipzig, BachwocheAnsbach, Alte Musik Festival Dresden, H?ndelfestspieleG?ttingen, London BachFestival, etc .In addition to his career as a concert singer, Patrick VanGoethem performs with his baroqueensemble The Flanders Baroque Consort of which he is founder,member andartistic advisor.

Patrick Van Goethem will be joined by Thai vocalists DuangdaoChayasirisobhon, soprano and Mongkol Chayasirisobhon , baritone as well asharpsichord and piano collaborator, Dr. Alberto Firrincieli of ABAC University.

Evening programme includes works by Henry Purcell : "Musicfor a While" from ‘Oedipus, King of Thebes’,“Strike the Viol” from ‘Comeye sons of Art, Ode for the Birthday of Queen Mary , An Evening Hymn “Now thatthe sun hath veil’d his light”, Nymphsand Shepherds, Thomas Ford: “Since first I saw your face” from ‘Awake sweetLove, Musicke of Sundrie Kindes’G.F Handel, "Oh Lord whose mercies numberless"from ‘Saul’HWV 53 ,"Virgam Virtutis tuae" from 'Dixit Dominus Psalm109 ’ HWV 232 ,“Yet can I hear that dulcet lay“ from ‘The Choice of Hercules’HWV 69, La'chiaChio Pianga , "Si tra i ceppi" from Handel'sopera "Berenice", G. F.Handel -“ I feel the Deity within..Arm ye brave “from Judas Maccabeus ,Handel:“ Ombra mai fu" from (Serse) “O del mio dolce ardor” by Gluck, A.Scarlatti "O cessate di piagarmi", "Per la gloriad'adorarvi" from opera Griselda .etc.
