Tsengelmaa Lkhagvasuren , pianist a native of Mongolia , is an experienced piano performer and teacher. She has taught for over six years at all levels from advanced students to beginners. Also an accomplished and versatile accompanist, she has accompanied choirs, woodwinds, strings and voice. She is a graduate of The University of Arts and Culture in Ulaan Bataar , Mongolia and holds a Master Degree in Teaching and Performance. Her Master’s thesis on Schumann is now the authoritative one in the Mongolian language. Her teacher for over 12 years studied at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow whose graduates include such illustrious names as Evgeny Kissin .
Her range of studies spanned the periods from the Baroque to the Impressionist with a special focus on Russian composers such as Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Prokofiev , Shostakovich and contemporaries such as Schnittke.
